Why We Fear to Create Boundaries
boundaries and fear

We grow up with the fear of not being loved and we often then perform for our parents, teachers, mates, customers, followers, peers, and bosses to be approved.

How many of us say we lived for our parents’ approval? We wanted to be loved and approved as being worthwhile to be here.

It transfers to our adult life as we never want to be left, abandoned, unloved, or fired because we were not enough. Why are we afraid of public speaking and blogging? We don’t want people to think we are stupid. I used to fear this when I started blogging.

We can enjoy blogging when we stop worrying about what people think. We can start being authentic when being who we are is more important than what other people think.

Gravitas and Executive Presence both describe a personality with confidence that speaks clearly and authoritatively. This personality also has emotional intelligence and can read the room.

Creating boundaries has to start with understanding your core values and what is important for you to live your life in a manner that is effective and gratifying.

You might have to sacrifice a few followers to get there.
