Are your dreams your own or something you always thought would be good? Are they your own or something someone else always wanted for you? I find people are often stuck in someone else's supposed dream for them.
People are often afraid to dream of an exciting lifestyle or goals waaay beyond what they imagine they deserve or could accomplish. As Robert Ellis says in his book Coaching from Essence, we often are a goose with our neck sticking out of a bottle and our fat body keeping us trapped inside. The secret, he says is forget the rules and break the bottle.
The first thing to imagine is your feelings of entitlement. I was in a group where a young mom that had been making $30,000 a year was now making $30,000 a month. My first thought was, you have to feel entitled to make that kind of jump. What is your current ceiling on what you think you could be paid? How about if you were in charge of what you were paid?
That is only the beginning. How do you want to live? Is a house on the beach too big? Is jetting around the world in a leased jet too big? We live in bottles, and we first have to break them to let our imagination run free.
Of course, the next questions is how do we become Empowered? Yes, how do we become empowered to take the first steps and then the steps after that. You will no doubt need support because it is scary territory, and you will hit your limiting beliefs all along the way until you are Enlightened.
Yes, Enlightened is the third step after the Entitlement dream and the Empowerment process. You will realize you have all the tools. The tools begin with your heart. Once your heart sees a little light in the clouds that says it's all possible, there will be no stopping you.
Dreams are not for the few. They are for everyone; Everyone that has the heart to clarify their dreams and pursue them.
