How to Impress Your Superiors
personal development and overwhelm

Introduction. Your superiors have a Mission. A good leader has a Vision and a Plan with strategies to accomplish his goals. What he needs includes people who can help him utilize Organizational Competitive Advantages, Correct Competitive Weaknesses, Optimize Personnel, and Utilize Available Resources.

First, Improve your Executive Presence. That is who you are and how you show up. It is your appearance, your communication skills, your body language, and your ability to command respect.

Second. Continuous Engagement in Personal Development elevates how you think about yourself and then how you treat others. Be a model of behavior others are drawn to.

Third. Continuous Learning is prized by leaders and is integral to their own success. Demonstrate your eagerness to learn more skills, the business, the competition and the path for progress.

Fourth. Be a Problem Solver. Workers trade time for money but leaders and entrepreneurs trade solutions for money. Look at the big picture and find innovation in Organizational processes that could improve performance.

Fifth. Lead Change. The environment for business is in constant flux. New innovations, regulations, new competitors, global trade, and environmental factors change how everyone operates. Adapt, be flexible, and lead.

Sixth. Volunteer. There are always projects that need focus. Be a great collaborator who can inspire confidence in co-workers and lead a team.

Seventh. Get Feedback. Ask superiors what can be done to help and how they view your progress. Their tips may be the light needed to excel.

Eighth. Build Relationships. Network inside and outside the organization. Find new ideas, recruit great workers, open new opportunities, spread your organizations good will.
